Dining via Rooftop in BH

I have been crazy busy the last few days with work, but after the end of our deal, our fabulous partner took the deal team out for a celebratory lunch. We chose The Roof Garden at The Peninula Hotel in Beverly Hills – on the top floor (5th), outdoors, and by the pool...pretty much exactly where you wish you were on a sunny Thursday afternoon in LA. We called ahead and scored a cabana table, so we had pool views on one side and Little Santa Monica Blvd on the other. If we all weren’t so dead tired and in business clothes, you’d think we were on vacation.

I’d highly recommend the Lobster BLT, made on brioche and served with sweet potato fries. Is it just me, or are sweet potato fries such an LA hipster thing? They are literally everywhere, on every menu, and I don’t recall that being the case in Santa Barbara or the bay area. But The Roof Garden definitely exceeded my expectations with regards to the fries, and everything else. It’s a bit pricey, though, so not a daily lunch recommendation of course (unless you’re dining with the Jolie-Pitts).

Cheers!
