Off for the weekend to one of my favorite cities to celebrate my favorite girl! Cheers, have a lovely weekend!
It's likely going to be quiet on the western front over here for the next two weeks. Lots of work to take care of before heading to the city by the bay (and one of my favorite cities in the world) for my best girl's bachelorette party! Then next weekend is another bachelorette in Palm Springs. Party time!
Have a good week!
Friday, we meet again! I'm so excited for some (fingers crossed) fantastic weather here in LA and the time to relax and enjoy it. I'm already brainstorming ways to get outside...bike rides on the beach? A hike? A patio brunch? Either way, I am not staying cooped up this weekend.
The next two weekends feature some pretty fantastic bachelorette parties...is it possible to front-load sleep?
Have a lovely weekend!
At work, I have an ever-rotating playlist that keeps me productive. Music helps keep me focused - maybe my brain needs the noise to shut all the other figurative noise out! I wish I could rock the chill electronic music all day, but it tends to wear on my nerves after a bit. Here's a mix of some jams that have been keeping me going recently.

Here are a few of his great shots; contrary to what these photos show, my family does not in fact live at a zoo. But they probably might as well, with dogs, cats, turtles, fish, and a partridge in a pear tree. Not really on that last one...but I wouldn't be real shocked if I found one over there.
One of many water turtles that live in the pond...
Koi fish in the pond...
Watson and Verne...
Lucky (my girl, I rescued her when I was 16)...
Baby water turtles in a tank...
Zula. Don't let the photo perspective fool you - he is HUGE and still growing (an african tortoise)...
Saturday I brunched with 4 of my 7 bridesmaids in Newark at my friend and her husband's home. It was so nice seeing 4 of my favorite people in one room - a rarity!
1 / Boutique shopping in Los Gatos - this place had live birds, which freaked me out at first!
2 / A restaurant that had all the lights up and a kid playing guitar/harmonica when we arrived. We watched the place literally turn into an electronic-pumping, laser-showing club around us. This pic was taken around 10pm. Probably one of the most amusing experiences of my life (esp considering I was still dressed from my flight that morning!).
3 and 4 / Hiking the hills of Los Gatos.
5 / The new San Jose airport terminal, with plugs at every seat at the gate - heaven!
6/ Probably my first and last time with a whole row to myself! The joys of flying on a holiday.
